Salary: $22.30 to $34.22/hour


The Drug Free Communities Project Coordinator works with the DFC Program Director to assist in the development, implementation and management of the Healthy SV Coalition’s work plan, specific to youth substance abuse/use prevention. The Project Coordinator develops relationships with local law enforcement, civic and youth organizations, businesses, schools, municipalities and individuals to mobilize volunteer efforts and synergy around youth substance and tobacco use. The Project Coordinator will follow the established Drug Free Communities work plan developed by the Coalition to produce, monitor, and measure short term and long-term project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows established work plan(s) to meet short- and long-term goals.
  • Implements specific strategies as assigned and outlined in the Drug Free Communities work plan.
  • Works to achieve measurable results.
  • Ensures that all program strategies align with grant requirements.
  • Engages with regional and local partners to establish a collaborative relationship in which to develop a workforce system for youth substance abuse prevention.
  • Provides frequent updates to the Coalition Steering Committee on the progress of the Drug Free Communities action plan.
  • Provides the Coalition Director with bi-weekly updates to ensure accurate reporting to the grantor.
  • Serves as a contact for grantor on programmatic issues related to the Drug Free Communities work plan.
  • Attends required Drug Free Communities meetings and trainings.
  • Serves as technical advisor community partners working on substance and tobacco policy and programs designed to target the youth population.
  • Serves as an active member of the HealthySV Coalition.
  • Maintain a safe environment which includes knowing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Report and directly address identified environmental hazards when appropriate.
  • Report and directly address violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
  • Other duties as requested by Director.
