MPHA members receive regular updates on State House activities, including which bills MPHA is tracking, how to submit testimony, and other important policy information. Let your voice be heard
MPHA convenes 5 member sections, which are opportunities for members to become involved on working groups that are specific to a public health topic to engage in professional development and networking and assist MPHA with policy position development. MPHA offers the following public health sections available to members only:
- Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs
- Health Promotion and Education
- Public Health Infrastructure
- Health Equity
- Climate Change
We also offer a Healthcare Systems and Climate Learning Collaborative and a Public Health Policy Ambassadors Program.
Networking opportunities
MPHA offers many networking opportunities where members can connect with other organizations and public health professionals across Maine. We hold regional meetings and online webinars as well as our annual fall conference.
