Membership Committees

The Committee structure of MPHA is an integral part of what we are able to accomplish. Each committee has specific goals and operates on a regular meeting schedule. Members of each committee not only have the satisfaction of having an active voice on important public health issues, but they also build lasting connections with fellow members.

  • Annual Meeting Planning Committee
    • This Committee is at the heart of planning and implementing Maine Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of a conference theme and agendas, speaker identification and outreach, and assistance with meeting preparation, facilitiaton and evaluation.
  • Member Sections
    • Member Sections serve as professional units of the Maine Public Health Association and conduct activities that promote our mission and goals. Member Sections provide opportunities to develop scientific/educational program content; develop policy papers in areas of interest or fields of practice; provide professional and social networking, career development, and mentoring. Members agree to follow our Community Agreements. The Member Sections currently include:
